New workspaces open!

Climate CoLab recently launched a set of workspaces around key areas of the climate change problem– where members are invited to submit proposals and collaborate with the global community.

What are workspaces?

Workspaces are an area where members can work on proposals and find collaborators outside of official contests. While they do not include an evaluation period, workspaces are an opportunity to further develop your work and find people from around the world to collaborate with.

Workspaces can be found by visiting the contest homepage, and scrolling down to the bottom section under the heading “Workspaces.”

How can I use workspaces?

Craft new ideas or rework past proposals!

Workspaces enable members to continue to develop innovative ideas for climate change without the stress of a deadline. This gives members the opportunity to spend time crafting and perfecting their ideas, and finding others to work with. Members are also encouraged to move proposals from past contests, and rework their ideas to include any feedback from judging teams.

Members can also use the workspaces to recruit collaborators, share their work, and engage support from other members and the global community. We encourage the Climate CoLab community to comment on proposals in the workspaces, and work together to create comprehensive ideas.

What happens next?

At any time, Authors will have the opportunity to move their proposals to new contests on Climate CoLab. Contributors are encouraged to review the official contest description, prizes, timelines and guidelines. Proposal Authors will also have the opportunity to continue to edit their proposals in the official contest until the relevant contest deadline.

Happy collaborating!
