Have you ever thought about contributing to a greater cause fulltime? To devote not just your free time, but your actual job to climate change? To get paid to actually work on your ‘hobby’?

We are seeking a fulltime, fullstack web developer that helps us extend and maintain our open source Climate CoLab platform. You would be working in a dynamic and enthusiastic team and be part of MIT’s always-learning environment. Since our team is distributed across the globe, we support both on-site work in our MIT office in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, overlooking Boston, and remote work from any place with a stable internet connection.

We are looking for a reliable and skilled web developer proficient in Java, MySQL and Javascript. Our stack includes Spring MVC, Liferay as our Java Portlet Environment, Java Server Faces and Hibernate.

Please read the full description on the MIT Human Resources website.
MIT is a great employer that offers many perks, please find a list here.

To apply:  Send an email to Patrick de Boer, pdeboer@mit.edu, with your CV and sample code you’ve written in Java.
